Pritam Chandra

I am a mathematician, currently at Ashoka University, working in Matrix Analysis with Prof. Rajendra Bhatia. Previously, I worked in Theoretical Computer Science and Machine Learning theory at Microsoft Research India under Neeraj Kayal and Ankit Garg; and in Post-quantum Cryptography with Prof. Mahavir Jhanwar at Ashoka Mphasis Lab.

I am actively seeking graduate programs in Math and Computer Science, as well as relevant industry positions. Please feel free to get in touch via email.

This page contains a summary of work experiences. Some of what I create, academic and/or aesthetic, will feature in my blog.

Teaching Experience

In the capacity of a teaching fellow (TF), I have co-instructed the courses Real Analysis (2026), Matrix Analysis (2025), Topics in Matrix Analysis (Advanced Matrix Analysis) (2025) and Fourier Analysis (2026) with Prof. Rajendra Bhatia. I have also been a TF with Prof. Abhishek Khetan for the course Probability and Statistics (2026).

Apart from this, while I was an undergraduate at Ashoka University, I have served as a teaching assistant for the courses Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Algorithm Design and Analysis and Matrix Analysis.
